Issue 011 - Wake, Train, Work, Fast, Sleep, Repeat

Peak performance doesn’t start with motivation; it starts with rhythm. The daily repetition that builds consistency — the kind of structure that makes progress feel inevitable. For me, it all begins with sleep. I call it the first domino. Once that falls into place, everything else follows.

Sleep is the single most important habit to master, and the hardest one to respect. The science is clear: seven hours is the bare minimum, eight is ideal. But more than the number, it’s the consistency that matters. Going to bed and waking up at the same time every day builds momentum. When you’re rested, energy comes naturally. You wake up ready to move, to think, to build. It’s a cheat code hidden in plain sight.

Once the first domino — sleep — is steady, the second one is simple: exercise. Training daily, in any form, fuels the mind as much as the body. It’s not just about looking fit; it’s about staying sharp. Working out regularly also creates a feedback loop — you sleep better at night, and you show up stronger the next morning. The connection is direct, and the rewards compound fast.

Then comes the third domino: nutrition. What you eat defines how well your system runs. A well-rested, well-fed, and well-trained body is a machine that can handle anything — work, ambition, stress, growth. Once you’ve built that foundation, discipline replaces motivation. You no longer rely on feeling inspired; you rely on the system you’ve built.

That’s the loop: wake, train, work, fast, sleep, repeat.
